Nancy Hofstede Not Your Run of the Desert Realtor What people don’t realize is that a realtor does a lot more than show houses and navigate contracts and money. Realtors listen to what their clients tell them, separate out the needs from the wants and help them imagine living in a place that brings them joy. For some, the most important thing is convenience, or good schools, or a perfect bay window framing the sunset, or mountains. For others it is community. And for still others it is peace and quiet. I grew up in Chicago, moved to Los Angeles and have now spent over two decades in Arizona. I know Arizona and appreciate its beauty with the eyes of someone who has chosen it as my source of joy. A lifelong house hunter, estate sale junkie and volunteer at the Animal League, I became a realtor in 2008. Since then I have been combining my love of people and what animates the human spirit with my passion for real estate.
