Maximize your buying power
Consult with a lender to determine your buying power. Talk with a lender before you begin looking for a home. This will give you the negotiating power you need to maximize your dollar. Once you are prequalified you can determine the area you would like to live, the schools that you would like your kids to attend and the features of your new home. Once you have provided this information to your Tierra Antigua Agent, they can begin searching for your future home.
Investigate and Inspect
Sellers are required to provide the Residential Seller Property Disclosure Statement (SPDS) and a written insurance claim history for the length of time the seller has owned the property (up to five years) within five days after the offer has been accepted. You also have the right to have a home, roof, mold, pool and termite inspection for the house you intend to buy. Take advantage of it! The inspection period is an opportunity to investigate any and all items that are important to you concerning the purchase of the home. However it is your responsibility to do so.
